Hanwha Life Esports entered League of Legends esports by acquiring ROX Tigers' league spot and line-up ahead of the 2018 LCK Summer Split. [84] They made their debut in a 1-2 loss against Griffin, before eventually failing to qualify for playoffs with a 10/-/8 record in the regular season. SoHwan, Bono, Tempt, Lava, Sangyoon and Key would be the roster representing the team in the 2018 KeSPA Cup, where they lost against KeG Seoul, a roster consisting of Doran, Ellim, Plex, Gumayusi and POP. This resulted in a first round exit, placing 13-19th.
