GIANTX was formed as the two companies Excel Esports and Giants merged into one on December 14th, 2023. [36] Excel as an organization had been in the LEC since 2019, and Giants originally was a part of the EU LCS from 2013 to 2018, but moved to the Superliga from 2019 onwards following the establishment of the LEC.
