paiN Gaming made their debut at IEM São Paulo in 2012, where they finished in third place. In the first Riot Brazilian Champion League they won their third place match against Insight eSports after losing to vTi Nox in the semifinals. In 2013 the team made a return to IEM São Paulo but paiN Gaming failed to qualify for the playoffs as European teams Millenium and MeetYourMakers secured those spots in the group stage. Despite the result, paiN Gaming got invited to IEM 2013 World Championship in Hanover. During the IEM World Championship paiN Gaming faced off against CJ Entus Blaze, Gambit Gaming, Fnatic, Incredible Miracle, and Millenium. With teams from Europe and South Korea, the Brazilian representatives finished the group stage as last place.
